tender, love and care...

some conversations are difficult... laying awake with you, spewing common sense on how to live without the dreaded paycheque to paycheque routine; how to attempt to capture your dreams; how to live life for everyone and yourself... obviously it doesn't exactly calm the brain in preparation for slumber...

i never mean to lecture or seem as though i have all the answers... fresh out of university, living with my father and still trying to figure it all out leaves me as anything but expert material... just like how parents always seem to say the wrong thing when times are tough, i only say what i say because i care... sure, it is often more comforting for someone to just lightly rub your back, tell you to breathe and utter uninformed statements like "it'll all be ok"... but sometimes, that's just not how life rolls...

call it tough love, but i just want to push those around me into living their dreams... pursuing what makes them grow and what makes them tick... whether it's jumping into a new love, a new job, a new life... we tend to think we're so old right now and so many things should already be a notch in our belts... every now and then i catch myself building my own pressures -- we all do... but what we forget is that we're only twenty-somethings, the world at our fingertips...

i know you never once took my dialogue of life lessons as the pointing of a damning finger at you, but i woke up this morning wishing we'd fallen asleep with nothing but smiles on our faces... with everything else life throws on our plates, it's the least we can do...
