how do you measure a year?

first point for the day: last. night. was. amazing.
there was no place i would have rather been and i don't think my abs could feel much stronger after a night of intense dancing and massive amounts of laughs and memories... what a way to end a fuckin' phenomenal year...

now, down to business...

the following post format has been lifted from the idea of a friend... below is the first line from the first post on my blog from each month in 2005... gimme a little time to put together a proper post that sums up what an amazing year this was, but for now -- hell yes, please enjoy:

january 2005 - "as i sit here only a few days into this new year i'm struggling to recapture all that 2004 was in the desperate, pretentious, glorious and often ridiculous world of entertainment..."

february 2005 - "sometimes all it takes is one situation for you to realize just how much you truly care about someone..."

march 2005 - "i attended a lecture last night about how we identify ourselves in canadian society..."

may 2005 - "i turn 22 tomorrow... geez! where did time go?"

june 2005 - "my brothers are now both married men..."

july 2005 - "june 30 - mississauga to ottawa..."

august 2005 - "the last thing i wanted to do after getting home from work at 3:30 in the morning on thursday night was wake up at 7:00 am on friday to get ready for work at FLARE..."

september 2005 - "once again i have departed from my beloved hometown in favour of my ottawa digs for another - and final - year of university..."

october 2005 - "metric, capital music hall, 7 pm, sold-out"

november 2005 - "it seems as though my fellow radio collegues and i had our heads in the explicit language clouds today..."

december 2005 - "true, it may seem like a stretch, but its thoughts like this that catch my troubled head when you're away when i am missing you to death..."
