after narrowly missing my go train this morning because i insisted on making myself a lunch, the editorial assistant informed me when i arrived at the office that we were having a pizza party/meeting today... yes, that's right, a FLARE style pizza party... unlike the pizza parties of my past, this did not include cardboard multi-coloured pointy hats, nor was it significantly followed by a icing heavy cake... instead we gathered 'round the boardroom for a powerpoint presentation on what the new fall trends will be and basically gawked at all of the clothing we can't afford from the runways of paris, new york and milan... then we stuffed our faces full of gourmet pizza (mushrooms, pesto and chicken, oh my!) with a standard side of salad...
i spent the afternoon trying to keep my eyes open after not enough sleep and munching away on complimentary muffins and chocolates strewn about the office... finally i called it quits at 5:00 to head off to yorkville to purchase not one, but two new pieces of music (black eyed peas and coldplay - so sue me, i'm a top 40 fan now and then)... dinner at montreal bread co. with kevin, dog watching outside of sassafraz, mint chocolate chip ice cream and a relaxing ride home on the go bus... all in a day's work...
