it's a small world after all...

my editor elio told me today that he bumped into everyone's favourite pierced journalist at the recent powerball fundraiser... i'm talking about good ol' georgie stroumboulopoulos... as the two of them begin to catch up on their days of suburb life in malton, elio mentions that i am his new intern... *note: for anyone reading this that doesn't know, i had the extreme pleasure of interviewing george last summer for inside mississauga... so as elio put it, the two of them "gushed" for a little while about me... george said i was sweet and fun and was very excited that i now work at FLARE... (insert blushing here) and then elio tells me that he would love to have george involved in some way for the october issue, so would i track down his contact information... well, i was both proud and slightly embarassed to admit that i still have his cell number saved in my phone just in case it ever came to good use... and what do you know, georgie was one easy dial away... i left a rambling voicemail in his inbox and now wait impatiently for the summer of george - part two to begin...
