what do you get when you cross brand spankin' new band the most serene republic, do make say think, metric, broken social scene and modest mouse? you get one fuckin' awesome day on toronto island, that's what! for a wallet-friendly $50 my sunday was spent taking in the sun's warm rays and the sweet sounds of indie music...

3. dancing to new tracks from both metric and bss (both long overdue)
4. bss inviting over 15 friends on stage to join in their engaging performance
5. special apperances by amy millan from stars and feist
6. the view of toronto on a hot summer day
7. bumping into old friends
8. the bassist of metric (love him)
9. modest mouse inviting members of bss on stage - brendan canning playing soccer in the background during their set
10. purchasing an adorable new shirt to add to my collection
it certainly was a beautiful day in the neighbourhood...
