i am addicted to the amazing race... as far as i am concerned, it is the only reality television show (besides the guilty pleasure of america's next top model) worth any of my couch potato time... and last night's finale episode was, in one word: perfection... my grudge toward rob and amber - the reality show whores - was finally supressed when uchenna and joyce took the cool million home sweet home... previous to the show, the sweet couple both lost their jobs in the bitter fate of enron and worldcom and experienced relationship problems because of it... however, last night they made it through the final leg of the race with no money, no possessions, but plenty of heart... (did i just write that?!!?)
i'll admit that rob and amber outsmarted the winning duo and many others time after time, but rob's boston drawl constantly crept my finger towards the mute button each week... it was a tense conclusion (as it always is... hmmm...) but in the end unchenna and joyce kissed and hugged at the finish, remarking that a baby was the next step in their new lives... sometimes that dang reality shit hits you right in the soft spot... *tear*
