go big, or go home...

today i think i had the best interview of my life... my meeting with the entertainment/photo editor and the features editor of FLARE could not have gone any better... if you can believe it, we sat and chatted about my fav movies, music, tv shows, etc. for the better part of the interview... then i showed off my portfolio and they loved it!!! they took copies of three of my feature pieces and my best of 2004 web list... i felt like i was on top of the world... i walked out of there with my work in the hands of two of the top editors of FLARE and a huge smile across my face...
and the kicker: if i get the position, they said the plan is that the intern will have a published piece in the mag by the end of the summer... excuse me!!! published!!!
i feel really good about this one... repeatedly the entertainment editor said she'd be calling me next week... i of course don't want to jump the gun on this and get my hopes up, but i have a gut feeling that i could be guest-starring at FLARE after all...
