technically i'm writing this pre-dinner, which means pre-pills and drops for the day... that means i'm only at about day two and a half... nonetheless, today felt a little tougher than the last... a fresh fruit smoothie and hard-boiled egg clearly was not enough to get my day started because by lunchtime a compound of "women's issues" and a growling stomach had me kinda grouchy...
the grouchiness meant that coming home to rice cakes, tuna and leftover salmon paled even more in comparison to gabe's pita pockets with smoked ham and all the fixings... once i'd eaten my meal though, i was full -- even if at the time i thought the spread would never come close to shutting up my hunger...
it's become obvious that a lot of the things i used to eat would most certainly fill me up, but mostly because of what was in them... sure, they were satisfying my hunger, but they were also leaving me with that really full "i'm-gonna-blow" feeling at times, which was a sure sign it was too much...
what keeps me from giving in day after day is the simple thought that this is something i want to accomplish... i want to walk away after 12 days having done it out of willpower and persistence... i still can't fathom implementing this diet into my every day eating habits, but it is teaching me to be creative and pushing me to think much more about how/what i eat...
three down... nine to go.
