down there...

*note: the following post has been heavily influenced by a production i watched tonight of the vagina monologues... it is not meant to offend or gross you out, but i was simply inspired by the play and decided to put it into words...

the word almost seems awkward... it can't explain it's beauty properly, nor can it be easily brought up in conversation without at least one head turning... but we've all had experiences with a vagina -- from birth, to sex, to personal intimacy... so why be shy?

it's my womanhood... my centre, my warmth, my energy... quaking with excitement and at other times, perfectly silent... often it begs for attention and welcomes aggression... pulses and shivers... it signifies my gender... my gateway to life and passageway towards intimacy... we know each other very well -- we're all each other's got... it is not shy... however, it is infatuated by true affection... it doesn't bare everything for just anyone... it's sacred and protective... after all, it's me...
