it seems as though my fellow radio collegues and i had our heads in the explicit language clouds today... our live-to-air show ended up clocking in at four utterings of the word "fuck"... needless to say our prof wasn't too please, but on the bright side, it was a pretty fuckin' good show... seriously... it was...
i received a huge pat on the back, as i once again followed my gut and produced a story outside the boundaries, which aired to the applause of my classmates... i wanted to write a humourous personal commentary piece about why we wear poppies for remembrance day... my prof was skeptical, but in the end i got a handful of laughs from the crowd and managed to slip in a wizard of oz reference... a sensation of accomplishment washed over me as classmates congratulated me on a job well done...
everything appears to be coming up tara right now in the journalism department of my busy schedule... i just nailed down an interview with prominent fashion designer, rosa costanzo, in toronto on november 18... and so far i've managed to get in touch with a number of sources for my next -- and hopefully successful -- radio documentary... tomorrow i'm planning on accosting a city councillor as she leaves a meeting... ooooh, watch as that reporter attitude seeps into my veins...
man, i could use a massage...
tonight i embark on a first -- i'm going to a comedy club... i'm picturing dim lighting and little tables... a heckler in the back corner and a sweating first-timer gracing the stage... this should be good... i hope they use the word "fuck"... at least four times...
