seeing my work published is one of the most satisfying parts of my school/job... to know that people can read what i've written -- and love it or hate it -- is rather exhilarating...
over the past few weeks i've begun to put together packages for the good ol' job search... writing cover letters, photocopying my clippings, updating my resume... i also asked my editors from FLARE and Inside Mississauga (may it rest in peace) for reference letters...
call me sappy, but i literally cried when i received each of the letters... the kind words, the out-pouring appreciation... it cemented to me that nothing i do in my path to becoming a journalist is small or petty... working for free pays its weight in wonderful experience... and it feels great to know that both of my editors were happy to have me along for the free ride...
