after years of toting disposable cameras around to concerts, parties and shin-digs, i finally acquired a digital camera... buttons and options and zoom, oh my! it seemed like a piece of cake to get the little sucker going when under supervision of my father... however, it only took 2 days on my own to fuck the thing up... i won't even try to get into the problem - the just of it is that it doesn't jive with my laptop and that doesn't jive with me... although it fancies my roomie's laptop, so at least not all is lost...
the moral of the story is that technology and i are like oil and water... we try to dance into the future together, but end up stumbling... after all, i do own an 8-year-old stereo that's on the fritz, a beat up panasonic cd player that's just shy of the size of my head, over 500 cds (downloading... what's that mean?) and a laptop that's hum is louder than my dry-mouthed snore at its best... the only reason why i even own a colour screened cell phone is because my older model was discontinued and couldn't keep up with the wireless world of today... thus, the kind people at FIDO traded it for a cobalt blue cutie with options i've yet to understand...
truly, i should be writing this on a typewriter... the fact that i even have a blog on this technologically epic world wide web is a huge facade...
the shame is overwhelming...
