as the music editor for my j-school radio show this week, i had to exercise my knowledge in canadian content... you see, all of the tunes must be from the great white north, regardless of whether the whole song or only 20 seconds make a guest appearance on the show...
a seemingly daunting task... however, it came over me how wonderful our fine country's contributions to the mega music world are... if anything, i had too much to choose from...
kid koala, broken social scene, arcade fire, ivana santilli, buck 65, tragically hip, controller.controller, the most serene republic, leonard cohen, chantal kreviazuk, rufus wainwright, martha wainwright, esthero, jason collett, the lovely feathers, the organ, sloan, diana krall, sarah slean, oscar peterson, the weakerthans, the dears, hot hot heat, metric, death from above 1979, stars, the new pornographers, sarah harmer, sam roberts, sarah mclachlan, feist... the list goes on and on... oh canada
who rocks your socks?
