was just about to go sleep when i heard someone say the northern lights were out... if you can believe it, i haven't actually seen them in full force since i moved up here... it's always just been a small taste...
i walked outside with camera in hand and saw the huge streaks of blue and green, dancing in the sky like a ribbon of vivid stardust... you could truly see it shift around as though the wind were passing through it like a flag... the colours grew dimmer and then switched to a more brilliant tone... back and forth it went, as they stretched out across the horizon... stars glittered around the streaks like tiny anchors of light...
after a couple of failed attempted to actually capture them in photographs, i just stood in the cool, but comfortable outdoors and gazed...
