building new traditions...

it's the middle of the afternoon on christmas eve... i spent the morning behind a soundboard, lining up just about every christmas tune you could think of over the course of the three hour morning show... the office was quiet and empty, with the christmas tree sparkling in the foyer and evidence of our christmas party left behind...

outside is blanketed in white snow, while the temperature just comfortably dips below zero... with candles lit and our christmas tree in a soft red glow, we're seated on the couch spending the afternoon relaxing... a collection of canadian artists' voices echo through the apartment as a playlist of carols rhymes off my ipod -- martina sorbara, hawksley workman, p:ano, nate krieswirth, and zunior.com's holiday instrumental compilation...

chinese food is set to arrive at 7:00 tonight... we've indulged and ordered a dinner for four, even though we're only a head count of two... red wine is ready to be uncorked and scrooged ready to be watched... with hours to go, we're both like children amped to see what lies beneath the wrapping of the gifts under the tree... christmas undeniably brings out the kid in all of us...
