365 days later...

the following is a stolen concept... basically i'm following in the footsteps of a fellow friend and blogger by posting the first line from the first post of each month from 2007... it's a quick little coles notes way of summing up the year...

but, i will do an annual glance back in a day or two -- because it's both pain and pleasure to drum up all the personal circumstances after a year is through...

happy new year... out with the old, in with the new...

january 2007 - "it's currently about quarter to 3 in the morning..."

february 2007 - "sometimes you try not to admit that something is bugging you because you want to pretend that it's not..."

march 2007 - "the eve of a trip..."

april 2007 - "it was brought to my attention this morning -- and rightfully so -- that our generation takes advantage of our smorgasbord of commentary outlets..."

may 2007 - "another bbq at lake lebarge last sunday..."

june 2007 - "when i stepped out of the car -- after a seemingly endless ride of bumps tampering with my full bladder -- i immediately knew i wasn't dressed for the part..."

july 2007 - "as soon as whitehorse became a prospect for my career-driven future, i knew that adjustments would be inevitable..."

august 2007 - "what was meant to be a leisurely ride along a frequented bike path this week, led to a black and blue ankle and leg, with scraped palms to boot..."

september 2007 - "a colleague invited me on her live show this afternoon to dish on women's issues -- strength, courage and wisdom -- plus some laughs and role model name-dropping on the side..."

october 2007 - "sundays have become slightly less lazy now that i've taken to adding two hours of it to my work week..."

november 2007 - "to break away from the everyday in the frigid north, i set my sights on the west coast for a week..."

december 2007 - "street lights are lined with blue and white flickering decorations..."
