in the throws of switching cds, pressing buttons and sliding toggles on the soundboard, i glanced out the front window of the studio to see a soft collection of white flecks falling delicately on the roof of my car... although the flakes were wet and left barely a trace, it was reminiscent of the backdrop i often woke to in my ottawa days...
i've always loved a christmas that includes the white stuff... a fine dusting, or a healthy dropping of snow make the holidays satisfy the stereotype of how they're supposed to be... on the other hand -- i dread driving in winter weather and keep reminding myself that i unfortunately need to purchase snow tires... but there's something so calming about watching the little white particles swirl in the wind...
as 11:00 approached, i found myself wishing i had more time to play more tunes on the air... it could have been because of all the planned tracks i ran out of time for, or because i was simply enjoying the outdoor view...
