young drivers of canada...

when i first heard that a pick-up truck slammed into the side of the public broadcaster's building in downtown whitehorse today, i simply thought the news day was picking up... however, upon returning home and looking for the latest on the event during its 6:00 newscast, i was tickled by an account of ridiculous imagery of the incident...

the tattered old vehicle had in fact made severe contact with the side of the third avenue building with force, leaving a mark certainly difficult to conceal along its red exterior... shattering a large planter into a shadow of its former self, skidding across the greying chip stone ground and exposing an intolerable side of human nature... beside the truck laid an emptied can of molson canadian... fuel spilled all around, while an RCMP officer carried away a large firearm from the scene... but the icing on the cake of the unfortunate and head-shaking fiasco was a novelty license plate on the front of the automobile -- "drive it like you stole it"...

it runs along the same lines as when your mother told you to always wear clean underwear in case the paramedics ever had to cut away your clothing...
