if i am what i eat, than i'm a welcomed compilation of just about every aisle in your local grocery stop... a picky eater, i am not... whether it swims in an ocean or grazes in a field, it has likely made it on my plate and been enjoyed...
when it comes to nourishment orientation i swing all ways -- and though i have no grudge towards those that favour vegetable variety only, i could never join their team... i've just never been able to justify denying myself of something i crave...
since my reading list is currently focused on everything coupland, i opted to watch fast food nation rather than flip the pages... although i'm sure the book would have a much more grotesque and grandiose impact on me, the film still did the trick... in utter horror, i witnessed a glimpse of slaughter houses and gained the unfortunate knowledge that a big mac comes with a side of manure... over all the years i haven't been naive, i've just never looked into it -- and now i feel guilty...
it's not just burger chains, it's the entire meat section of the grocery store that now leaves me with a sensation of disgust and remorse... i still believe it is completely natural to feast on all that makes my mouth salivate -- however the cruelty, disregard for employees and factory monopoly is something i've begun to grow an inner challenge against...
the truth hurts -- or in this case, leaves me with little appetite...
