searching for a storybook ending...

before this, they barely ever fought... the world was full of simple sensations, deep understandings and unquestionable comfort... but time and place can change two minds and alter their hearts... it can feed the frenzy of the emotions that had been suppressed so easily for so long...

perhaps it sounds juvenile, but they often looked at each other with love and adoration, knowing this was "the one"... they'd talk of the future as though it were a simple step in the line they followed... everything had always been so easy, there was no doubt that the smooth sailing would ever be affected...

with arms crossed and voices silenced, she'd think about if he weren't there in the morning... if once again she'd returned to a life she'd known so well for so long... but when she played through the chorus of telling those around her what happened to their bond, it seemed only petty and trivial in its tune... but it's not about what outsiders believed -- this was about the undeniable tension...

it felt like they were failing at something they'd easily achieved for so long... it was difficult to consider giving each other credit that nothing is entirely easy... it was easier to just assume things weren't working... but never easier to give up on trying...
