you win some, you lose some...

all's not fair in radio and contests... ok, i made that up, but i have a reason for attempting to wax poetically... throughout the week we've given out day passes to an upcoming local hockey tournament on the morning show -- the same one that garnered me some sweet remarks from a listener yesterday... well, today i was left with a not-so-sweet realization...

a listener called in to give her answer to our "skill" testing question, to which i told her she was incorrect... in fact, the information i had been given was wrong and the listener won fair and square... i called her back once the show had ended to apologize, offer her a pass and poke fun at myself to make her laugh it off and forgive me... gulp...

needless to say, i'll be poking some fun at myself tomorrow morning... everyone makes mistakes, and in live radio i've learned that laughing at them can be the best way to dust yourself off afterwards...
