audience approval...

the most difficult thing i'm going through this week so far, is believing that i've only been living this new life of mine for seven days... in many ways it feels like i've been a member of this new wintry looking world for quite some time now... many of my surroundings are still left unexplored and unknown, but my personal checklist has been experiencing an incredible amount of changes... new digits, new address, new bed, new corner grocery store, new co-workers, new job, new perspective... whitehorse isn't what i might have assumed from back in toronto... i'm still a sucker for the mountain view outside my apartment window and will be for months to come, i'm sure...

there is so much to share... one day i'll catch up -- but for now i must reveal a great moment i had this morning to anyone reading this... upon giving away a day pass to a local hockey tournament, my co-host put me on the line with the winner/regular listener... the man had asked to speak with me and as i said hello, his praise for the job i'm doing poured out of the phone... he claimed he enjoys my "sweet" sound in the morning and that i'm doing a fine job -- and naturally, to keep it up... needless to say, on top of the fact that the temperature hits -4 this afternoon, i'll have an extra little skip in my step...

*by the way, i'm now posting in yukon time...
