after hours...

last night me and my fellow waitresses partied in honour of a sweet young lass that is trading in her apron and table talk for an apartment in the big city... first, we drank at work 'til each and every customer deserted the place... then we brought out the chocolate (last minute) betty crocker cake... it was littered with smarties and brought to mind words like "ghetto" and "crafty"...

then, it was off to the enfield fox... for mississauga folk, it's the old fox and the fiddle by square one -- for non-mississauga folk, it's a bar/lounge... who knew that heavy dance/drum and bass beats with a live percussionist were pumping at a local watering hole on a measly monday night?!? a few candy apple martinis, plus some lemon drop shots and the bittersweet goodbye party was off the hook...

but after a little partying, everyone gets a little grumble in their tummy... so... there's a reason it pays to work in the service industry -- you always have a place where everyone knows your name... a brisk drive back to streetsville and we were slurping back coronas and impatiently awaiting some specialty pizzas we'd whipped up in the oven... and of course we couldn't keep our fingers out of the cheesecake...

shhhh... don't tell... what happens in streetsville, stays in streetsville...
