not too picky, not too shabby...

last night i received a phone call -- less than one week after sending out a handful of resumes, i'd nabbed myself an interview... the position: media/public relations... locale: mississauga (port credit to be specific)... it's with a little marketing/communications firm that i won't mention out of good blogger etiquette... not exactly the path i had in mind, but it is still under the journalism umbrella and right now anywhere other than a place with a serving tray and pad of paper in my hand is a start...

so... my interview was today and went really well -- and i'm not just saying that because it makes for a better blog post than utter failure... it really did go well, really well... i left feeling so satisfied and with the complete absence of that "i-should-have-done-this-or-said-that" feeling...

to be honest, i walked in thinking that i wasn't really qualified, but as the question period went on i realized that i could totally handle the gig... another perk was that it turns out that the art director from my inside mississauga days works at the firm... small world!!! so we got the chance to catch up a bit before i was casually grilled on my expertise... i swear, working for inside has inadvertently changed my life forever... plus, i still dream of george stroumboulopoulos...
