a quick look back -- madrid...

i haven't had the chance to write about madrid on here, but let just sum it up and say -- beautiful... i wandered the streets for hours, stopping in perfectly manicured parks and indulging in some shopping... i also visited one of the best museums on this trip, i would say, with a collection that blew my mind... it was the museo thyssen-bornemisza and featured works by van gogh, monet, renoir, degas, dali, picasso, pollock, rothko and so many more... i was furiously jotting down notes as i entered each room short of breath by the sheer volume of art present... and one of the family members that owns the collection had a quote on the wall that i truly adored:

"i have always felt that art is not for one person alone and should be shared."
