europa 2010: paris...

after a grueling train ride overnight -- 14 hours to be exact -- we made it from madrid to paris...

on little sleep, we decided to cover some ground though and hit the streets... we dropped off our bags in our less than desirable hostel (which we are leaving from on monday) and then began a walk to notre dame... it was incredible and made for countless photo ops...

then with willing legs we decided to keep walking -- up past the louvre and suddenly we saw it... i pawed at ryan's arm intently as he pointed out the tip of the eiffel tower... we drew closer and closer until we reached a park and were standing right there below it... i don't know if either of us has witnessed anything so incredible on this trip so far, to be honest... we were blown away...

the cafes; the museums; the shopping, naturally -- we're going to eat this place up over the next three days... i might even stay for an extra one...
ryan bids adieu on the 23rd and then i'll be off to lille; perhaps brussels, then frankfurt and then home... can't believe it is winding down, but so very thrilled to be here...
