oh blog... how i've neglected you...

the excuse list is lengthy, but i'll ignore it... what truly hit me as each unposted day passed, was that i've been denying my own promise to write more... not for the sake of those that might stumble upon this site (hence disabling the comments feature), but because i want to ensure that my love for the written word is not overshadowed by my life of reporting and column writing...

what's that saying again? all work and no play makes... something... something...

in short, over the past week i uncovered a skill set that i'd yet to truly explore -- mounting a visual arts show and performance shows to critical acclaim left me feeling proud and inspired by the participants... i've also realized the strength of friends, of love and of solitude...

we each spend so many hours, days, weeks and years of our lives neglecting so many things... i guess it's not such a shame that my blog makes it onto my list every once in awhile...
