f-ing freezing...

slightly unrelated question: every time i cross my legs all lady-like under my desk at work, an annoying little something or other snags the knees of my pants -- to the point that a pair of my jeans now has a little hole in them... can i sue for wardrobe reimbursement? or is it my fault for sitting like a lady?

speaking of wardrobe, is it just me or is everyone in canada wearing pretty much every single item of clothing in their closet these days?!? i just cut an interview the other day with an environment canada climatologist who broke the news that the next month is supposed to be 6 to 12 degrees cooler right across the nation...

living north of 60, i never expected shorts and t-shirt weather in december -- but damn... it's cold out there... as i write this, the weather network website taunts me with a big, bright sun cartoon next to the current temperature reading of -33...

there's literally a white mist covering the city of whitehorse right now, as ice fog creeps up from the yukon river that cuts in between downtown and my neighbourhood... i've taken to layering like it's my job and securing almost every inch of my being under fleece or down...

yukoners aren't the only ones with the right to complain... in fact, in a sense we have no right to complain... while this is cooler than average, it's nothing we didn't see last winter... but for those on the west coast that usually bundle up even before the thermometer dips below zero -- well, this must be utter torture...

it always feels like you have nothing better to say when you talk/write about the weather... look for my next post on your local sports team...
