whenever we talk about a change of scenery, he's always quick to say he can be packed in an hour... even the slightest notion of altering our geographical state causes his mind to reel with the hypothetical stories that our new lives would take on... i tend to keep those thoughts at arm's length, in order to avoid a let down when dreams fade to dust...
it seems so simple to have conversations about what doesn't satisfy, what doesn't work and where you think you want to be... often times it's not so simple to actually be the change you want to see in your world... but an independent and in control life doesn't include waiting for something to make a change for you... take charge of your own destiny, or some motivational shit that sings that tune... baby steps -- though few and seemingly leading to nowhere -- will slowly help to change the wheres, whats and hows for the future...
i'm trying to figure out whether a resume or talent is my prized possession... and learning how to take a teaspoon of my own medicine...
