another bbq at lake lebarge last sunday...
pot luck equals laughs and friends...
and a full stomach...
as the week has passed by, i've been pleasantly reminded about all of the wonderful people that fill my life... the big 2-4 is pending... cards and gifts have made my mailbox bustle and made the days pass by with ease... exhaustion has been a constant as work kept me on my toes... my bike in the shop for a check-up left me getting home with two feet and heartbeat...
sat down with an architect...
talked more about powerful women than structures with the tape turned off...
it's strange to look at a man face to face, when you used to look at his building almost everyday across the river from the hill...
storytellers have an infectious tone of voice...
hours left until my biggest birthday present arrives -- my love... in many ways it still feels as though it's a big gag, that it isn't really happening... last night i envisioned it like a sappy film... wandering through the airport, glancing over each shoulder in complete impatience... suddenly, i glance down at my watch and feel a sensation come over me... i look up to see him there with a smirk across his face and bag slouched on the floor beside him... i run towards him and everything feels just right... his scent, his strength -- he has returned to me...
boasting about love often seems strange and borderline awkward... but with all of the emotions inside of me right now, as i count down until our reunion, i want nothing more than to shout from the four-storey rooftops of whitehorse... i'll settle for a relaxing drink with friends, to steer me away from burning a hole in the clock with my stare...
