guilty as charged -- i'm neglecting my handwritten journal just as much as this, its online counterpart... lately it truly feels as though there are not enough hours in the day... it's been a week since i tacked on another year of growth and experience to my age count... initially i was nervous about how exactly the day would play out, considering i figured i would barely know a soul (a spoon, pint of ice cream and sappy movie was my prediction)... but the day was simply and utterly uplifting and wonderful...
breakfast together, while phone calls from family and friends poured in... driving around to look out upon this new world we share with two hearts and two sets of eyes... a game of ball-hockey, stroll along main street, barbecue on the balcony... beers and laughs with friends around the kitchen table, followed by a jaunt out to a blues bar and then picked up the pace for some dancing and jager-bombs at another spot... we all crashed having spent every ounce of energy... woke to the idea of greasy breakfasts and a lazy day of picture taking...

when he walked out of the arrival gate in the tiny, dimly-lit airport, my heart skipped a slight beat... like a reflex, my hands covered my mouth to force the gasps from echoing out to the public around me... sifting through the small crowd, i suddenly could feel his arms around me again... i touched his face to ensure it wasn't an illusion...
now, with a week of co-habitation under our belts, it feels like we've been at this forever... it's not always easy -- our sleeping patterns are practically opposite and it appears as though i'm a bit more of a clean freak than even i'd ever thought i could be -- but the all-encompassing sense of compassion and enjoyment fills each room when i'm in it with him... this is for real...
