last night, as i laid in bed curled up to the comfort of my other, i brought up the fact that january scares me... it's not the month itself (although admittedly, i have no idea where a year went) but it's simply because i don't know where i'll be -- what i'll be doing... without the restraints of a life in education, i now swim with life's proverbial tide... or something like that...
in his utter and ultimately refreshing adventurous nature, he simply gazed at me... "lady, i don't know where i'll be a week from now..."
it dawned on me that now might be the time for me to truly embrace that time in my life when it's not mapped out... when the sun rises and sets, but everything [in]between is juxtaposed with equal parts fate and spontaneity... if you've ever caught a glimpse of my agenda, you'd know i'm a woman who plans... but maybe it's time to relax a touch and slowly chip away that mould...
then i came home and sat by the fire reading this article... in essence, maybe it's true that the comfy job isn't always that comfortable in the end... maybe i'm still searching -- and you know what? i think that's ok...
