
it'd been almost a solid year, although to look at it, you'd never think so... although the roots were clocking in at an embarrassing one inch plus, the colour had melted into a bronzy, reddish, brownish hue with potential for not making me appear too pale... the ends -- which should have resembled lawn mulch or extractions from a bail of hay -- were actually holding up like little champs...
the arrival of my hairstylist stepsister (who'd whisked herself away to ireland for a year) brought on visions of a new 'do... i was borderline mortified by my pathetic display of locks when she re-entered the household... all it took was one lazy sunday and now i feel rejuvenated... the ends feel like a rabbit's foot keychain; the roots have vanished in place of a rich blend of deep auburn and subtle bright blonde panels; bangs have been reintroduced to my styling routine...
on monday, as i made my way from union station to king and peter street with my new tresses swinging in the wind, i strutted... don't paint me egotistical, but i felt like "the shit"... the next day my pretty bangs were spoiled by the rain-soaked city, but nonetheless, i'm a proud, confident, colour-changed woman...
