having never been to charity ball before, i wasn't sure what to expect last night... needless to say, it's a huge party, in a huge room, with a huge amount of people there... i don't think i've ever worn a formal gown in the presence of over 1,500 people in my life...
seriously though, if you didn't have a meeting spot -- and a good one at that -- it was pretty much a given that you'd lose your whole posse 10 minutes into the night... nonetheless, it was a pretty good time... i didn't win the ipod nano in the raffle, but i did get to dress up and spend some quality time with some fantastic people... i may or may not have gotten a little emotional, which i blame on the wine and my sore feet (even though that's not the whole truth), but thanks to good friends like janice and liz all's well that ended well... or something like that...
