spice up your life...

i’ve been a lazy poster… i’ve been denying my blog of my attention and to that, i apologize… so here goes an update…

with two more weeks left at FLARE it’s hard to believe that this summer has actually happened… as i sit here in my cubicle and stare at the wealth of magazines around me, i only expect someone to either pinch me or escort me out of the building… the best part about it, besides that i’ve met some amazing people that are gun-ho on helping me meet my dreams, is that i’ve had so much fun every step of the way… i’ve written copy for one the nation’s biggest magazines and i’ve spent my days researching celebs and swiping free shit off the freebie table…
and now my life as a journalist is taking an even more exciting turn… i’ve been offered the position as fashion/style section editor for a new online magazine that is starting up in the next few months… although it’s a mississauga based venture, they’d still like me to do my thang from ottawa and contribute five 250-word pieces a week to be published, as well as managing the content of the section… it’s finally sunk in that journalism is completely and utterly a business of right place, right time, right people… and i’m thrilled that thus far i seem to making the right turns…
