whoa... the past week was filled with double-shifts, lack of sleep and too much to do in too little time... with my editor on his way to L.A. this week, i now am enjoying a pleasant monday off...
my first issue of FLARE arrived at the office on thursday... there's something so intoxicating about seeing your name in print, especially when it's in FLARE... it'll be available on newsstands in about a week or so... if you manage to find the $5 to pick it up, flip to the flare finds page at the back for my halifax and charlottetown (shout out to aine!) patio blurbs...
thursday night i attended my unofficial high school reunion... who knew about 50 people would actually show?!?! when i first arrived it resembled the cafeteria with the quiet bunch of people i rarely spoke to clinging to a table in the back... they stare and cause you to plaster that painful fake smile on your face while you carefully take a few steps back... "what are you up to now?" was the question of the night... we were all guilty of asking it way too many times... at the last minute i decided to cop out of my story that i now worked the main grill at BK... i wasn't sure if i could swallow the judgment...
most people looked the same with the exception of one guy that got hot, one that stumbled upon steriods or something and brian who is rockin' his mohawk once again to my overwhelming elation...
ok time to enjoy the humidity and catch up on my nick hornby novel... i refuse to spend any more of my day off on a computer...
