comfort food...

since i moved into a townhouse in ottawa, my roommates and i have made a valiant effort to keep the spirit of christmas alive once the retailers put up their decorations... december is a time filled with final papers and exams and thus it hinders on enjoying the joyous season that is upon us... therefore, we celebrate with a "family" dinner each year... last night the festivities took place...

a frozen turkey (dubbed buster jr.), carrots, potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce and dinner rolls... erin supplied the christmas crackers, complete with corny christmas jokes and useless prizes... adam supplied some merlot... liz took the pics, and teri and i ate like champs...

supper was followed by secret santa, snowman cake (dubbed snowbert) and a screening of the 1964 classic, rudolph the red-nosed reindeer... everything from the tinsel in the living room, to the christmas lights and tiny fake tree made it a little slice of holiday perfection...
