famous for her super-skinny figure - even post-baby - kate moss has graced the covers of magazines and strutted her stuff down runways for years... she was a hot topic in the many angry discussions on how the fashion world promotes skeletal as stunning... however, she had a face that the camera, designers and - for a brief time - johnny depp, loved...
loved - as in the past tense, to have once been in love with...
one raging night of cocaine and galloping around town with her drug-induced rocker beau pete (from libertines and babyshambles fame) has done the twig in... pictures surfaced, shame was spread and now h&m has dropped her from their new stella mccartney ads, burberry has ripped the plaid out from under her and chanel sides with coco over cocaine...
did i miss something here? isn't this all a little over-the-top? i'm not saying that cocaine is the new pink, but just because the british tabloids are insanely voyeuristic and happened to catch poor kate in the act, doesn't mean she should be blacklisted from the fashion world... it's not as if the other "wonderful" famous faces that grace other ads are angels - it's likely just that most of them have never been caught... plus, kate's got nothing on naomi campbell's track record... now it's just become a game of follow the leader - once h&m pulled the plug, the others had to or else risked looking like drug-friendly targets...
however, what the fashionistas might not be realizing is that if heroin-chic was once the look, coked-up kate could be the next hot commodity... just me?
