once again i have departed from my beloved hometown in favour of my ottawa digs for another - and final - year of university... it was hard to say goodbye to sauga, especially seeing that it felt like there was so much unfinished business as my final week came to a close... and man do i miss a lot of people already...
now i'm spending my last few days of school freedom in the new atmosphere of the master bedroom in my five room/six roomies townhouse in ottawa's south end... it feels like home, although the streets are quieter and cleaner and no one worries if i stumble in late - or early for that matter... how can it feel like my summer flashed by in a matter of minutes, yet still seem like ages ago since i lived under this roof? time has cleverly tricked me once again...
this could be the final time i: purchase a spiral notebook, take notes, study, receive a syllabus, fall asleep during a lecture, picture my t.a. naked, get excited over a new highlighter, buy an overpriced book that i open less than 10 times, flash a student card, cram for an exam, write an essay full of bullshit, make the grade, meet someone "after class", live in ottawa, refer to myself as an "academic" etc.
it feels like it had only just begun... chime in with me as i hum the tune to "memories"...
